Dangote Refinery Cuts Petrol Price by N15 Per Litre

In a continued effort to ease the burden of high fuel costs on Nigerians, Dangote Refinery has announced a fresh reduction of N15 per litre in the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), popularly known as petrol.

According to an official statement released by the company, the revised prices will now reflect across different regions of the country. In Lagos, motorists can now purchase petrol at N875 per litre, down from the previous N890. In the South West, the product will retail at N885 per litre, while residents of the North West and North Central will pay N895 per litre. For the South East, South South, and North East zones, petrol will now be available at N905 per litre.

The new pricing structure is effective immediately and will be implemented through all of Dangote Refinery’s key distribution partners, including MRS, Ardova (AP), Heyden, Optima Energy, Techno Oil, and Hyde Energy. The refinery also encouraged more fuel marketers to join its growing network in support of the federal government’s ‘Nigeria First’ policy, which promotes the consumption of locally-produced goods and services.

Since the launch of its operations, Dangote Refinery has actively pursued cost-saving initiatives to bring relief to Nigerians. Earlier in February 2025, the refinery introduced two separate price cuts amounting to a total reduction of N125 per litre. This was further followed by an additional decrease of around N45 per litre in April. The latest price drop marks another step in the company’s ongoing strategy to make fuel more affordable across the country.
