The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially released the results of the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) resit conducted for candidates affected by technical issues at some examination centres.
According to a statement issued on Sunday morning by Fabian Benjamin, JAMB’s Public Communication Advisor, a total of 336,845 candidates were rescheduled to participate in the resit. However, 21,082 of these candidates were absent from the exercise. JAMB did not provide any explanation for the large number of absentees during the rescheduled examination.
The board clarified that the final number of rescheduled candidates came after carefully filtering out sessions from centres that were deemed to have run smoothly during the initial UTME, and including previously unverified candidates who were impacted by technical disruptions.
