Netanyahu Applaud Trump’s Strikes on Iran as a Historic Turning Point for Middle East Peace

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has publicly praised former U.S. President Donald Trump following a series of American airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear sites, calling the move a bold and historic step that could redefine the future of the Middle East.

In a video address released shortly after the announcement of the strikes, Netanyahu congratulated Trump, describing the decision to target Iran’s nuclear facilities as courageous and transformational. “Congratulations, President Trump. Your bold decision to strike Iran’s nuclear sites with the unmatched power of the United States will go down as a moment that changes history,” Netanyahu stated.

He emphasized that the strikes demonstrated America’s unrivaled military strength and thanked Trump for initiating what he termed a “pivot of history” — a strategic shift that he believes could pave the way for lasting peace and prosperity in the region.

“President Trump and I have often spoken about the concept of peace through strength. Strength must come first, and then peace follows,” Netanyahu added.

In a separate statement, the Israeli leader confirmed that the operation had been carried out in close coordination with Israel, noting that it fulfilled a long-standing promise to neutralize Iran’s nuclear ambitions.

Trump, through his social media platform, had earlier announced that U.S. military aircraft had launched targeted strikes on three key Iranian nuclear facilities — Fordo, Natanz, and Isfahan. These sites have long been at the center of international concerns regarding Iran’s nuclear program.

The U.S. airstrikes mark a significant escalation, coming after weeks of rising tensions and repeated exchanges of fire between Israel and Iran. Israel initially launched strikes on June 13, citing intelligence that Iran was nearing the completion of a nuclear weapon — an allegation Tehran continues to deny.

With the United States now openly participating in the conflict, the geopolitical landscape of the Middle East faces a potentially dramatic shift.
