Iran Launches Missile Attack on Al Udeid Air Base; No Reported US Casualties

A senior U.S. defense official has confirmed that Iran launched an attack on the Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar using both short-range and medium-range ballistic missiles. The missiles, which originated from Iranian territory, targeted the strategic American military installation on Monday.

The Al Udeid Air Base, which houses thousands of U.S. personnel and serves as the forward headquarters for the U.S. Central Command, along with its air and special operations forces, was struck as tensions escalate between Tehran and Washington.

Despite the seriousness of the attack, the defense official stated, “At this time, there are no reports of any U.S. casualties.” He further added, “We are not aware of any damage to the installation at this time.”

The missile strike follows recent U.S. airstrikes on three Iranian nuclear facilities over the weekend, marking a significant escalation in military confrontations between the two nations.
