Supporters of Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, once again converged on the Government House in Port Harcourt on Friday, showing enthusiasm and solidarity ahead of his return to official duties.
Just as they did on Thursday, the crowd arrived in the early hours of the morning, filling the atmosphere with drumming, singing, and dancing. The supporters were split into two groups: one remained at the Government House to await his arrival, while another group positioned themselves at the Port Harcourt International Airport, Omagwa, prepared to welcome the governor upon his landing.
Governor Fubara is set to resume work following the lifting of the emergency rule imposed on Rivers State, which President Bola Ahmed Tinubu formally ended on Thursday, September 18.
