The North-Central All Progressives Congress (APC) Forum has called on President Bola Tinubu to exercise caution in his public interactions with governors from opposition parties, warning that such engagements could dampen the morale of APC members.
In a statement issued on Sunday in Abuja, the Forum expressed concern that members of the ruling party in states controlled by the opposition have continued to face incidents of harassment and intimidation. Although the group did not mention specific governors or provide detailed evidence, it stressed that the reports point to a worrying trend.
The Forum therefore urged the Presidency and APC leadership to focus more on initiatives that safeguard party members and enhance their involvement in the political process, especially as preparations for the 2027 general elections gather momentum.
