A member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Caucus, Mr. Sam Nkire, has appealed to President Bola Tinubu to seek reconciliation with former Kano State governor and leader of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.
Nkire emphasized that efforts should be made to foster dialogue between the APC and NNPP, suggesting that such engagement could pave the way for Kwankwaso’s return to the ruling party. According to him, building political bridges at this stage would not only promote unity but could also serve as a strategic advantage for Tinubu as the nation prepares for the 2027 general elections.
He further noted that collaboration between the two parties has the potential to reshape the political landscape, given Kwankwaso’s significant influence in northern politics.
Nkire’s call comes at a time when speculation is rife about possible political realignments across the country ahead of the next presidential contest.
