The Christian community in Nigeria and beyond has been thrown into mourning following the passing of the revered man of God, Rev. Dr. Uma Ukpai. According to an official statement released on his verified Facebook page, the renowned evangelist peacefully transitioned to glory on October 6, 2025, at the age of 80.
Rev. Dr. Uma Ukpai, fondly referred to as a faithful soldier of the Cross, dedicated more than six decades of his life to the service of God through passionate evangelism, deep teaching of the Word, and powerful prophetic ministrations. His ministry, characterized by miracles, healing crusades, and soul-winning outreaches, touched millions of lives across Nigeria and around the world.
He was widely celebrated as one of the founding fathers of the Christian faith in Nigeria, a spiritual general whose message of hope, faith, and salvation inspired generations of believers.
