President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on Saturday, welcomed a number of high-profile visitors to his Lagos residence in celebration of the Eid-el-Kabir festivities. Among the notable guests were former Governor of Delta State, James Ibori, and the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Abubakar Bagudu.
Joining them were prominent industrialist Chief Razak Okoya, his wife Shade Okoya, and their son, who paid a courtesy visit to the president as part of the traditional Sallah homage.
The visit comes as President Tinubu continues his extended stay in Lagos, where he has been since May 27, 2025. During his time in the state, the president actively participated in the 50th anniversary celebration of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), alongside commissioning multiple infrastructure and development projects aimed at advancing national growth.
The president is expected to return to the Federal Capital Territory (Abuja) after the conclusion of the Sallah celebrations.
In his special Eid-el-Kabir message to Nigerians, President Tinubu called for collective prayers for continued peace, stability, and progress across the country. He emphasized the importance of unity in diversity and acknowledged the challenges and sacrifices citizens have endured over the past year.
Reaffirming his commitment to the welfare of the people, Tinubu assured Nigerians that his administration remains focused on protecting the physical, social, and economic well-being of all citizens while working diligently to build a stronger and more prosperous nation.
