Yemaren secured 11,538 votes, defeating his closest contender from the ZLP who managed just 73 votes.
Prof. Okedeyi declared:
“Having satisfied the requirements of the law by securing the highest number of valid votes and scoring at least 5 per cent of the votes in all five polling units, Rauf Ibrahim Yemaren is hereby declared the duly elected Chairman of Badagry-West LCDA.”
In his victory message, Yemaren extended appreciation to key party figures, including Mr. Joseph Bamgbose, the APC Apex Leader in Badagry-West, and the outgoing Chairman, Mr. Joseph Gbenu, for their unwavering support. He promised to build on the foundation laid by his predecessor.
The APC’s victories across the three local councils reaffirm the party’s strong grassroots support in the Badagry area of Lagos State.
