Oyedepo Advise Nigerian Youth to Take Responsibility for Their Future

The Chancellor of Covenant University, Ota, Ogun State, Bishop David Oyedepo, has called on Nigerian youths to take full responsibility for their lives in order to avoid failure in the future.

Oyedepo, who also serves as the President of Living Faith Church International, gave the advice during an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday in Ota.

He stressed that “responsibility is the price of every great destiny,” adding that no one can be considered a failure until they begin to blame others for their shortcomings.

According to him, anyone who refuses to take responsibility early in life is bound to become a liability later on. He urged young people to embrace the virtue of responsibility, emphasizing that their success or failure ultimately depends on their personal choices.

“If you fail or succeed in life, it is your choice,” he said. “There is no star without a scar, and the scar of every star is sacrifice. When you leave your life to chance, you do not have a chance.”

Bishop Oyedepo also encouraged the youth to make integrity a lifestyle, warning that nothing destroys a person’s value faster than a lack of character.

He concluded by reminding young Nigerians that the world is waiting for them to rise and fulfill their purpose, urging them not to disappoint the great future that lies ahead.
