Singer-turned-skit maker Nasboi shared an emotional open letter on Instagram, pleading with 2Baba to speak up and reclaim his public image. He described how the singer’s humility shaped him from his teenage years and expressed sadness over the recent clips portraying the star negatively.
Nasboi’s letter highlighted the values he associated with 2Baba — calmness, dignity, and silence during personal disputes — urging him to “take control of the situation” for the sake of fans who still hold him in high regard.
In a similar tone, Terry G called for prayers for the couple, reminding Nigerians that relationship struggles happen to everyone. Teni the Entertainer also showed support, posting a humorous meme encouraging fans to stand with the music legend.
Not everyone shared the same sentiment, as actor Uche Maduagwu criticised 2Baba online, suggesting the situation was “karma” and insisting he needed marriage counselling.
Meanwhile, 2Baba’s ex-wife, Annie Idibia, posted a cryptic message on Instagram featuring burning matchsticks with the caption, “The power of stepping away,” which many interpreted as a subtle response to the controversy.
The issue intensified after a video surfaced showing a heated argument between 2Baba and Natasha in London, which briefly drew police attention. Despite the chaos, many loyal fans have continued to express unwavering support for the artist, echoing Nasboi’s words: “We still believe in you. We still admire you.
