Amb. Ikebunwa Lotanna Distributes Christmas Hampers to Nnewi Police Command, PCRC, Others

In a heartwarming show of community spirit, Amb. Ikebunwa Lotanna has distributed Christmas hampers to officers of the Nnewi Area Police Command, members of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), and other residents within the area.

The distribution was carried out through a delegation from the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC), Nnewi Area Command, who presented bags of rice to officers of the Nnewi Police Area Command on behalf of Amb. Fidelis Ikebunwa Lotanna.

According to the delegation, the gesture was aimed at appreciating and recognizing the unwavering dedication, professionalism, and sacrifice of police officers who continue to ensure the safety and security of Nnewi and Ekwusigo, especially during the festive yuletide period when many others are at home celebrating with their families.

Speaking during the presentation, the Chairman of PCRC Nnewi, Hon. Amobi Okonkwo, described Ambassador Ikebunwa Lotanna as a beacon of hope and a true friend of Ndi Nnewi North, Nnewi South, and Ekwusigo. He also commended the gallant police officers for their selfless service, noting that while many citizens enjoyed the comforts of the Christmas celebration, the officers remained on duty, making personal sacrifices to safeguard lives and property.

Receiving the donation on behalf of the command, the Area Commander, Nnewi Area Command, ACP Augustine Oyamielen, expressed deep appreciation to Ambassador Ikebunwa Lotanna for the thoughtful and timely intervention. He assured that the gesture would go a long way in boosting the morale of officers and reaffirmed the command’s commitment to maintaining peace and security in the area.

In a call to action, Hon. Okonkwo encouraged Ndi Nnewi and other well-meaning stakeholders to continue supporting the PCRC in its efforts to provide essential logistics and resources to the police, stressing that such collective support would strengthen police-community collaboration and further enhance security across the Nnewi axis.
