Amb. Ikebunwa Lotanna Attends “One Girl, Two Skills” Graduation in Nnewi, Donates ₦1 Million to Support Young Girls, Other Cash Grants for the Top 10 Best-performing Graduates

Amb. Ikebunwa Lotanna, PhD (H.C), a frontline House of Representatives aspirant for Nnewi North, Nnewi South, and Ekwusigo Federal Constituency, today attended the graduation ceremony of the One Girl, Two Skills Empowerment Programme held at Obi Uruagu Palace in Nnewi.

The programme, organized by Hon. Mrs. Ijeoma Ike in partnership with Nnewi Progressive Mandate, focused on training young girls aged 16 and above in practical and income-generating skills. These skills included cosmetology, makeup, cake and pastry production, event decoration, amongst others. The initiative is designed to equip young girls with the tools they need to become financially independent and productive members of society.

Speaking at the event, Amb. Ikebunwa Lotanna praised Hon. Ijeoma Ike for her commitment to empowering young women and building a better future for the community. He emphasized that initiatives like this are exactly what the constituency needs, programmes that create real opportunities and reduce dependency and unemployment among young people.

In a strong show of support, Amb. Ikebunwa announced a donation of ₦1 million to all the graduating participants to help them start or grow their businesses. He also rewarded excellence by giving an additional ₦10,000 each to the top 10 best-performing graduates, bringing his total support to ₦1.1 million.

This act is not new, because Amb. Ikebunwa has consistently shown his commitment to youth development and education. His continuous investment in people-focused initiatives has earned him wide acceptance and strong grassroots support.
