Anti-Immigration Protesters March in Durban, Demand Undocumented Foreign Nationals Leave South Africa

Hundreds of demonstrators under the banner of the “March and March” movement took to the streets of Durban on Tuesday, calling for undocumented foreign nationals to leave South Africa.
The protesters marched through the city carrying banners and placards as they marked an unofficial deadline set by citizen-led groups for undocumented migrants to exit the country.
Participants said the demonstration was aimed at drawing the government’s attention to concerns over illegal immigration, unemployment, crime, and pressure on public services. They urged authorities to strengthen border security and enforce existing immigration laws.
The protest remained peaceful as demonstrators moved through designated routes under the watch of security personnel. Authorities monitored the march to ensure public order and prevent any disruption.
The demonstration adds to the growing debate over immigration in South Africa, where concerns over undocumented migration have sparked protests and renewed calls for stricter enforcement of immigration policies.
