APC Denies Tinubu Endorsed Adeleke for Second Term, Backs Oyebamiji Ahead of Osun Poll

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State has dismissed reports claiming that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has endorsed Governor Ademola Adeleke for a second term in office, describing the reports as false, misleading and aimed at confusing voters ahead of the August 15 governorship election.

Oke said it was impossible for the President, who is a longstanding member and national leader of the APC, to endorse a candidate from another political party in an election where the APC has presented its own candidate.
He explained that rumours suggesting Tinubu had thrown his weight behind Governor Adeleke’s re-election bid were entirely unfounded and should be disregarded by party members and the general public.
According to him, President Tinubu remains committed to the success of the APC in Osun State and is fully supportive of Oyebamiji’s candidacy in the forthcoming governorship election.

He urged residents of the state and party supporters not to be distracted by what he described as baseless claims designed to create confusion in the political atmosphere.
