The All Progressives Congress (APC) has restructured the leadership of its 2026 National Convention Central Coordination Committee, appointing former Katsina State Governor, Aminu Bello Masari, as the new chairman.
Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, who was previously named to head the committee, has been reassigned to serve as treasurer following the reconstitution.
The ruling party also announced an expansion of the committee’s membership from 73 to 90 members, a move it said was aimed at accommodating more party stakeholders ahead of the national convention.
Among the newly added members is Senator Barry Mpigi, alongside other notable APC chieftains drawn from across the country.
In a statement, the party explained that the changes form part of a revised composition of the Central Coordination Committee, stressing that the reconstitution was guided by zoning arrangements and strategic considerations in preparation for the 2026 national convention.
The APC said the adjustments are intended to strengthen internal coordination and ensure broader representation as the party prepares for the key event.
