Former Managing Director of the Anambra State Advertising and Signage Agency (ANSAA), Dr Jude Okechukwu Emecheta, has urged Christians, particularly Ndi Anambra, to embrace the love of Christ and demonstrate compassion, kindness, and benevolence as true reflections of their faith.
In his Christmas and New Year goodwill message made available to Newday Reporters, Sir Emecheta emphasized that Christmas should remind Christians of the love of Christ, who remains the true reason for the season.
According to him, the enduring significance of Christmas lies in the joyous message that the Son of God came to dwell among humanity, a singular and divine act worthy of celebration because it reconciled mankind to God eternally.
He noted that Christians are beneficiaries of God’s immeasurable grace through Jesus Christ, who embodies the comfort, joy, and hope of the season. He therefore called on Nigerians to respond to this divine love by loving one another and extending that love to the nation at large.
Dr. Emecheta further expressed hope that the spirit of Christmas would rekindle a renewed sense of patriotism among Nigerians, influencing their political, economic, and social engagements. He stressed that Ndi Anambra and Nigerians as a whole can only achieve progress and prosperity through unity and collective effort.
Reflecting on the numerous challenges confronting the nation in recent times, he acknowledged the difficult experiences Nigerians have endured. However, he expressed optimism that as the people celebrate Christmas and look forward to a hopeful future, God will bless their collective efforts and usher in a new era of peace, growth, and shared prosperity for the country.
