Governorship aspirant under the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Engr. Dideolu Falobi, has expressed confidence that the remarkable achievements of President Bola Tinubu in less than three years will pave the way for the party’s victory in next year’s governorship election.
Speaking on Thursday after a consultation meeting with members of the APC State Executive Committee at the party’s Secretariat in Osogbo, Falobi said that many Nigerians still misunderstand the extent of the President’s impact at both the national and sub-national levels.
He commended President Tinubu for revitalising the nation’s economy and steering the country toward sustainable growth and development.
According to him, “There’s a general lack of understanding at both the state and national levels of how much progress President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has made. In just two and a half years, he has performed excellently. Despite inheriting a struggling economy, he has worked tirelessly without being deterred by challenges or sabotage. We are now approaching a turning point.”
Falobi added that the positive effects of the President’s policies would soon become evident, particularly in the areas of foreign exchange and food prices.
“In a few months, as Aliko Dangote also said, the dollar rate will drop and food prices will improve. The President is confronting multiple challenges across sectors, yet he remains focused and resilient. I’m confident that both in Osun and across Nigeria, the APC will emerge victorious. President Tinubu has truly turned the economy around,” he said.
Speaking on the purpose of his visit to the party secretariat, the governorship hopeful explained that it was part of his ongoing consultations with the party’s structures and organs, in line with its internal principles and procedures.
Falobi added that he had earlier met with APC Chairmen from all Local Government Areas and Local Council Development Authorities in the state, discussing strategies to mobilise grassroots support for his ambition.
