HAPPENING NOW: Anambra State Government Arraigns Popular Native Doctor Akwa Ọkụkọ Tikwara Aki, Others For Kidnapping, Criminal Conspiracy

The Anambra State Government has formally arraigned Mr. Nwangwu Chidozie, popularly known as Akwa Okuko Tiwara Aki, on charges bordering on criminal conspiracy and kidnapping.

The charges were contained in an official charge sheet filed before the State High Court, marking a significant step in the government’s intensified efforts to curb rising insecurity across the state.

Also standing trial alongside Akwa Okuko are two other individuals identified as Eke Hit and Onye Eze Jesus, who are facing similar allegations.

The legal action comes in the wake of Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo’s recent declaration of total war against kidnapping, cultism, and other violent crimes that have plagued parts of the state in recent months.

The governor had earlier vowed to rid Anambra of criminal elements threatening the peace and safety of residents.
