Indonesia Floods and Landslides Claim 631 Lives, Over One Million Displaced

The death toll from the devastating floods and landslides that struck parts of Sumatra has climbed to 631, according to the latest update from Indonesia’s disaster management agency.

Emergency teams are working around the clock to assist communities hit by the disaster, which has forced more than one million residents from their homes.

Rescue operations are still underway across affected regions as authorities search for 472 people who remain missing. Relief agencies and government bodies continue to deliver food, medical supplies, and temporary shelter to survivors as the scale of destruction becomes clearer.
