Iran’s senior security official, Ali Larijani, on Wednesday accused United States President Donald Trump of leading Americans into what he described as an “unjust war” with Iran.
Larijani made the remarks in a post on X, where he criticised Trump’s approach to escalating tensions between Washington and Tehran. He alleged that the US president, alongside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, had pushed the American public into a conflict that he characterised as unfair.
In his statement, Larijani said Trump, influenced by what he described as Netanyahu’s “clownish antics,” had drawn the United States into hostilities with Iran without justification.
His comments come amid heightened diplomatic and military tensions in the Middle East, as both sides exchange sharp rhetoric over recent developments in the region.
