JUST IN: Amb. Ikebunwa Lotanna Donates ₦500,000 to Support Youth Skill Acquisition Training in Nnewi

Former Special Assistant on Grassroots Mobilization to the late Senator Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah, Amb. Ikebunwa Lotanna, has donated the sum of ₦500,000 to support youth skill acquisition and empowerment in Nnewi.

The donation was announced during the prestigious Nnewi Heroes Award Ceremony, held on Tuesday, January 6, at the Nnewi Hotel, Newday Reporters has reliably gathered.

Amb. Ikebunwa Lotanna, who is also a former Leader of the Apex Youth Organization in Nnewi, was a standout figure at the ceremony as he received a well-deserved award, emerging as the Young Icon in Real Estate of the Year. He outperformed several top real estate executives to clinch the award, a recognition that highlights his inspiring journey, exceptional business acumen, and significant contributions to the real estate sector.
The award celebrates his remarkable ability to build a successful real estate enterprise from the ground up, leading to the development of some of the most habitable, innovative, and well-planned residential estates across the South East and South South regions of Nigeria.

Amb. Ikebunwa was honoured alongside other distinguished personalities who were recognized for excellence in leadership, innovation, enterprise, humanitarian service, security, youth development, and media impact. In a strong demonstration of his commitment to youth empowerment, he pledged the sum of ₦500,000 to Thrivewave Mega Solar, to be used for the training of interested youths in solar installation and renewable energy skills.
The initiative aligns with his longstanding promise and passion for promoting youth empowerment across Nnewi North, Nnewi South, and Ekwusigo Local Government Areas, particularly by equipping young people with practical, income-generating skills.

Speaking after making the donation, Amb. Ikebunwa Lotanna urged young people to embrace skill acquisition as a pathway to self-reliance and economic stability. He encouraged youths to take advantage of available training opportunities, stressing that acquiring relevant skills provides leverage in today’s competitive world.

He further called on the youths of Nnewi North, Nnewi South, and Ekwusigo to remain focused, hardworking, and committed to legitimate ventures that add value to society. According to him, such efforts will not only foster personal growth but also promote community development, economic progress, service to humanity, and the sustained positive image of Nnewi.
