JUST IN: Awba Ofemili Community Honours Sir Chukwuemeka Orjiakor with the Chieftaincy Title of “Mmilioma” for His Selfless Contributions and Empowerment Initiatives

It was a day filled with joy, colour, and deep emotion in Awba Ofemili, Awka North Local Government Area, as the community came together to celebrate one of Anambra’s most distinguished sons, Sir (Chief) Chukwuemeka Nkem Pat Orjiakor, the Managing Director of Stelconic Properties Limited and Convener of Oganiru Awka North and South.

Chief Orjiakor was conferred with the prestigious traditional title of “Mmilioma Awba Ofemili” by His Royal Majesty, Igwe Ezekwesili Ezechukwuchili Mmaduagwuna (Ofemili I of Awba Ofemili), in recognition of his exceptional humility, compassion, and sustained contributions to community development and humanity at large.

Despite being a proud indigene of Nibo in Awka South, Chief Orjiakor has over the years distinguished himself as a true son of Awba Ofemili through his numerous empowerment programmes and unwavering support for the town’s growth and well-being.

Speaking during the conferment, Igwe Mmaduagwuna described him as “a bridge-builder and humanitarian whose generosity knows no boundaries.” He commended Chief Orjiakor’s remarkable role in youth empowerment, noting that many young people from the community have benefitted from his mentorship, employment opportunities, and personal interventions.

The atmosphere at the Awba Ofemili Town Square was electrifying, filled with drumming, singing, dancing, and heartfelt excitement as friends, family, and dignitaries joined the people of the community to celebrate a man whose name has become synonymous with kindness and service.

The title “Mmilioma”, which translates to “Good Water”, aptly symbolizes Chief Orjiakor’s life of continuous impact, refreshing, nurturing, and life-giving to everyone around him.

In his acceptance speech, Chief Orjiakor expressed profound gratitude to the traditional ruler, the cabinet, and the entire people of Awba Ofemili for the honour bestowed upon him. He pledged to continue his good works and reaffirmed his commitment to the empowerment and development of the community, particularly its youths.

He described young people as “the heartbeat and future of every community,” emphasizing that “any investment in them is never a waste.” He assured the people of Awba Ofemili that he would remain a loyal son of the land, ever ready to stand by them and come to their aid whenever the need arises.

Over the years, Chief Orjiakor has quietly but consistently transformed lives, supporting widows, empowering youths, assisting the less privileged, and contributing to social welfare projects. His leadership style is characterized not by flamboyance or words, but by action, being present where it matters most, offering help without seeking recognition, and making a difference one person at a time.

The honour of “Mmilioma Awba Ofemili” thus stands as a well-deserved recognition of a man whose heart flows with generosity, whose hands lift others, and whose legacy of compassion continues to inspire hope across communities.
