The New Jerusalem Anglican Church, Ngozika Estate, Awka, has bestowed the prestigious Ambassador of Charity award on Chief Chukwuemeka Nkem Pat Orjiakor in recognition of his outstanding commitment to humanitarian service, generosity, and consistent contribution to community development. The honour was conferred on November 23, 2025, according to Newday Reporters.
During his remarks at the church, Chief Orjiakor expressed profound gratitude for the recognition, emphasizing that his service in the house of God is driven by genuine devotion rather than a desire for public acknowledgment.
“I am deeply honoured by this recognition,” he said. “Everything I do in God’s house, I do unto Him and not for human praise. However, it is truly humbling to know that the body of Christ acknowledges and appreciates our modest efforts toward the growth and advancement of the kingdom.”
He further reaffirmed his commitment to Christian service, stating, “By the special grace of God, I will continue to stand firmly for Christ and to support the expansion of God’s kingdom on earth, ensuring that the gospel continues to flourish without hindrance.”
This latest honour adds to Chief Orjiakor’s growing list of recognitions. Recently, the community of Awba Ofemili in Awka North conferred on him the chieftaincy title Mmirioma Awba Ofemili in appreciation of his charitable works, support for widows, philanthropy to men, scholarship opportunities for children, and human capital empowerment programs for youths.
He remains widely celebrated for his consistent acts of kindness, especially his efforts to uplift the poor and provide relief to underserved members of society.
