The Nigerian Customs Service (NCS) recorded a total revenue of ₦7 trillion in 2025, marking a significant milestone in the agency’s revenue drive and reform efforts.
The Comptroller-General of Customs, Mr. Bashir Adeniyi, disclosed this on Monday in Abuja during the celebration of International Customs Day and the official launch of the Time Release Study.
Adeniyi attributed the strong revenue performance to improved trade facilitation, increased compliance among stakeholders, and sustained internal reforms within the Service. He explained that the adoption of technology-driven processes played a key role in enhancing operational efficiency and revenue collection.
According to him, closer collaboration with stakeholders across the trade and logistics value chain also contributed significantly to the gains recorded during the year.
The Comptroller-General reaffirmed the commitment of the Nigerian Customs Service to striking a balance between revenue generation and seamless trade facilitation. He added that ongoing reforms were aimed at further improving efficiency, transparency, and service delivery in customs operations nationwide.
