Nnamdi Kanu Writes Trump, State Genocide Against Judeo-Christians in Nigeria, Calls for U.S.-Led Inquiry

Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, has written a detailed letter to United States President Donald Trump, commending him for his recent remarks about the persecution of Christians in Nigeria and urging the U.S. to take immediate action to stop what he described as a “hidden genocide” against Judeo-Christians in the country.

In the letter dated November 6 and signed by his counsel, Aloy Ejimakor, Kanu praised Trump for his “bold and factual” comments about the ongoing killings of Christians, saying the U.S. leader had “spoken the truth” about a situation many global powers have ignored.

He noted that while Trump focused on the plight of Christians, adherents of the Jewish faith were also under severe persecution in Nigeria. Kanu claimed to possess documentary evidence and cited several media reports and human rights publications detailing violent attacks on people of Judeo-Christian faiths across various parts of the country.

“Your Excellency, I extend warm greetings to you in the name of the Judeo-Christian faith and values we both hold dear,” Kanu wrote. “As a practicing Jew and a believer in the Judeo-Christian heritage that shaped Western civilization, I was honored to attend your campaign event in Des Moines, Iowa, in January 2020.”
