Police Arrest Four Suspected Kidnappers, Armed Robbers, and Ritualists in Ondo

Police operatives in Ondo State have arrested four men suspected to be behind multiple cases of kidnapping, armed robbery, and ritual activities in Ogbese town. The suspects, led by Ifeoluwa Julius, were said to have been on the Command’s watch list following intelligence linking them to a series of violent crimes in the area.

According to police sources, the gang recently returned from a location where they allegedly procured charms intended to fortify themselves for future criminal operations. Acting on this information, officers of the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) unit launched a coordinated operation on the outskirts of Ogbese, leading to the arrest of the four suspects.

Speaking on the development, the state police spokesperson, Ayanlade Olayinka, said that during interrogation, the gang leader, Ifeoluwa Julius, confessed to being a ritualist and admitted alongside his members to involvement in several kidnapping incidents within the Ogbese axis.

Items recovered from the suspects include an expended cartridge, fetish materials, and red and white cloth stained with blood. Olayinka added that the suspects had travelled recently to obtain additional fortifications to boost their capacity for further criminal acts.

He commended the SWAT team for their professionalism and assured residents that the Command remains fully committed to protecting lives and property. He emphasized that criminals, no matter their tactics or hideouts, would be identified, arrested, and prosecuted. The suspects will be charged to court after investigations are completed.

In a separate incident, police detectives arrested one Ajayi Ademola Joseph for allegedly defrauding Pastor Foluso Ajibobola of ₦23 million under the guise of facilitating U.S. travel documents for his sister. After collecting the money, the suspect was said to have fled, prompting the victim to petition the police.

Following months of detailed investigation, SWAT operatives tracked the suspect to his hideout in Ogun State and apprehended him. The police spokesperson reiterated that anyone involved in fraud or criminal activity, within or outside the state, would be relentlessly pursued and brought to justice. The suspect will also be charged to court upon the conclusion of investigations.Police operatives in Ondo State have arrested four men suspected to be behind multiple cases of kidnapping, armed robbery, and ritual activities in Ogbese town.
