Police Deploy Tight Security for Vice President’s Visit, Fasoranti Celebration in Ondo

The Police Command has deployed comprehensive security measures ahead of the visit of the Vice President and the celebration in honour of Fasoranti in Ondo State. The command’s spokesperson, DSP Abayomi Jimoh, disclosed this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), noting that the arrangement was designed to ensure the safety of the Vice President, the celebrant, and all attendees at the event. According to him, a strong security framework has been activated, involving Police Mobile Force (PMF) personnel, tactical units, and Explosive Ordnance Disposal-Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (EOD-CBRN) operatives strategically positioned across key locations. He explained that the deployment is aimed at preventing any form of security breach and ensuring a peaceful and hitch-free celebration. Meanwhile, personnel of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), and Amotekun Corps were observed stationed along major roads leading to Fasoranti’s residence to maintain order and manage traffic flow. The Onyearugbulem Flyover, a major landmark in the area, was earlier flagged off for construction in July 2023 by the late former Governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.
