Seyi Tinubu Encourages Cubana Chief Priest After APC Primary Election Defeat

Popular businessman and socialite, Cubana Chief Priest, has failed to secure the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket for the House of Representatives seat representing Orsu/Orlu/Oru East Federal Constituency in Imo State>, following the party’s primary election held on Saturday ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Cubana Chief Priest, whose real name is Pascal Okechukwu, contested under the platform of the ruling APC after purchasing his expression of interest and nomination forms. He also serves as the Imo State Coordinator of the City Boy Movement.
Ahead of the primary election, Okechukwu had publicly stated that his political ambition was inspired by a desire to empower young people, promote grassroots development and encourage greater participation of youths in politics within the constituency.
He had maintained that young people deserve stronger representation and opportunities to actively contribute to governance and community development.
Despite his campaign efforts and aspirations, he was unable to emerge as the party’s candidate after the conclusion of the APC primary election.
Reacting to the outcome on Sunday, Seyi Tinubu took to his Instagram story to encourage Cubana Chief Priest not to lose hope following the setback.
Seyi, who is the Grand Patron of the City Boy Movement, urged him to remain focused and optimistic, stating that temporary setbacks can sometimes become stepping stones to greater success.
In his message, he wrote: “Bro, sometimes by losing a battle, you find a new way to win the war. Keep your head up @cubana_chiefpriest. We know what you are capable of achieving.”
The APC primary election formed part of the party’s preparations as political activities gradually build up ahead of the 2027 general elections.
