President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has commenced his official state visit to the United Kingdom, marking the first visit of its kind by a Nigerian leader in nearly four decades.
The President, accompanied by First Lady Oluremi Tinubu, was formally received by King Charles III and Queen Camilla during a ceremonial welcome held at Windsor Castle.
As part of the day’s activities, the British monarch hosted a state banquet in honour of the Nigerian leader at the historic castle. The event brought together members of the Nigerian delegation, as well as prominent figures including business leaders, financiers, sports personalities, and individuals of Nigerian descent making impact across the United Kingdom.
The engagements formed a key part of the opening day of Tinubu’s two-day state visit, aimed at strengthening diplomatic, economic, and cultural ties between both nations.
