TRANSFER: Man Utd Gets Green Light To Sign Zirkzee, Matthijs de Ligt

Bologna forward Joshua Zirkzee and Bayern Munich defender Matthijs de Ligt have both expressed their willingness to join Manchester United this summer.

Zirkzee’s contract includes a €40 million release clause, while De Ligt is expected to cost Manchester United around €50 million.

According to football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, who posted on X this Sunday, “Manchester United have received the green light from both Joshua Zirkzee and Matthijs de Ligt to join the club.

Both players have spoken to Erik ten Hag, and Manchester United are now prepared to advance negotiations with their respective clubs in the coming days. Salary and commission terms have also been agreed upon for Zirkzee.”

Manchester United’s transfer activities had been delayed due to uncertainty surrounding manager Erik ten Hag’s future.

However, the former Ajax manager has now signed a contract extension at Old Trafford.
