UMOLUM: Ozor Afiocha Nnalue’s Family Holds Grand Memorial Ceremony for Late Parents

The family of the late Ozor Afiocha Nnalue recently organized a grand memorial burial ceremony in honour of their departed parents, Late Ozor Afiocha Nnalue, who passed on 46 years ago, and his wife, Mrs. Odumaga Afiocha, who died 23 years ago.

The well-attended posthumous ceremony was held at the residence of Mr. Hyacinth Afiocha at Umuoli Village, Umolum, in Aghamelum Local Government Area of Anambra State. The event attracted a large gathering of dignitaries and guests from different walks of life, including business associates, allies, friends, community leaders and well-wishers who came to identify with the family, especially Mr. Hyacinth Afiocha, a successful businessman and sponsor of the memorial ceremony.

Also in attendance were kinsmen from the maternal side of the family, Umolum indigenes resident in Awka, members of the Anambra State Judiciary, and the traditional ruler of Umolum community, among other high-profile personalities who graced the occasion on Saturday, January 4, 2026, to pay their last respects to the late Ozor Afiocha Nnalue and his wife.

The memorial ceremony was marked by colourful activities, including various musical performances, cultural dances, entertainment, prayers, condolence visits and other traditional rites. Guests were lavishly entertained with an abundance of food and drinks, creating an atmosphere of joy and celebration of a life well lived.

Attendees expressed satisfaction with the level of organization, as they departed the venue in high spirits, describing the ceremony as a befitting and memorable honour for the late parents.
