Nollywood actor Zubby Michael has officially joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC), as the wave of entertainers entering politics continues to gain momentum ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The actor registered as a member of the party on Saturday in his hometown, Ozubulu, Anambra State, where he was presented with his membership card by the ward chairman. He later confirmed the development in a video shared on his Instagram page, showing the moment of his registration and acceptance into the party.
In his post, Zubby wrote, “I dey my village, enough of the talking online, I don involve,” signaling his decision to take a more active role in political engagement.
Although a voice in the background of the video suggested possible political ambition, including a potential run for a seat in the House of Representatives, the actor has not officially confirmed any intention to contest for elective office.
His entry into the ADC adds to the increasing number of Nollywood figures aligning with political parties as the 2027 elections draw closer.
