ADC Slams Tinubu to Create Transparent System for Tracking Security Funds

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has called on President Bola Tinubu to establish a transparent and accountable mechanism to monitor and audit the disbursement and use of federal security funds across Nigeria.

In a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Malam Bolaji Abdullahi, the party made the appeal while reacting to President Tinubu’s recent visit to Plateau State and his remarks during a service at the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN), Jos.

The ADC emphasized the need for improved coordination among security agencies, urging the president to strengthen joint military and police operations with active participation from local and state security networks.

The party further encouraged Tinubu to introduce a system of regular public reporting on security incidents, government responses, and outcomes to promote transparency and public confidence.

Highlighting ongoing security concerns in states such as Plateau, Zamfara, Benue, Niger, Kaduna, and Kwara, the ADC advised the president to personally engage with affected communities and local authorities, listen to their experiences, and incorporate their insights into national security strategies.
