Former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has extended his congratulations to the newly appointed Acting National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Mohammed Abdulrahman, urging him to restore peace, unity, and confidence within the party.
Fayose emphasized that the PDP was at a critical stage and required decisive leadership to chart a new course. He described Abdulrahman’s emergence as timely and called on him to immediately set the party on the path of stability and reform.
“I congratulate the new chairman of our great party, Alhaji Mohammed Abdulrahman, and urge him to unite the PDP and rebuild confidence among its members,” Fayose said.
He further advised the new chairman to address injustices and irregularities in some states, including Ekiti, in line with the party’s constitution and existing court rulings.
According to him, Abdulrahman should work closely with other leaders to ensure that a properly constituted National Working Committee (NWC) emerges through a legitimate National Convention. Fayose also urged that pending congresses across states and zones be concluded, while those conducted in violation of court judgments should be reviewed and corrected.
Fayose concluded that the PDP needed inclusive and principled leadership to reclaim its unity and restore the trust of its members nationwide.
