Trump Says Iran Still Holds ‘21–22%’ of Missile Arsenal, Claims Reduced War Capacity

United States President Donald Trump has said that Iran still retains about “21 to 22 percent” of its missile stockpile, even as tensions continue in the region following a week of renewed missile launches despite a fragile ceasefire.
Speaking in an interview with NBC News, Trump stated that Iran still possesses operational capability, including missiles and drones, though at a reduced level.
“They still have capacity. They have some missiles, they have some drones. I would say, percentage wise, maybe 21, 22 percent of their missiles,” he said.
The figure marks an increase from the 18 percent estimate he gave in May. Trump has repeatedly claimed in past remarks that Iran’s war-fighting capability had been significantly degraded.
Tensions in the region have continued to fluctuate, with Iran reportedly launching multiple missiles toward neighboring areas in recent days despite ongoing ceasefire efforts.
